The Glasgow Anarchist Federation calls for a picket outside the Greek consulate on Wednesday to coincide with our fellow workers general strike in Greece.
Since the cold blooded murder of young Alexandros Grigoropoulos on Saturday Greek cities have been alight with the flames of anger. We cannot allow the Greek state to attempt to stifle this anger by simply arresting the murderous police officers. The entire system of governance is to blame. Like the police in this country who feel able to murder youths the Greek police are simply better armed.
Join us this Wednesday outside the Greek consulate to voice your anger at this heinous murder.

We shall gather there from 2pm this wednesday as our fellow workers in Greece down tools in a general strike to express their disgust with the police and the state.

According to Greek radios and media, police forces provoked and brutally attacked a peaceful (until then) student demonstration. They even tried to arrest a journalist but were stopped by the people.
Right now EKAM (Greek Police Special Forces) are in Syntagma Square in front of the Parliament. Wearing military cloaths and armed with rubber bullets (none is fired yet).

Today 17/12: Occupation of GSEE (General Confedeartion of Wrokers in Greece) by Greek and immigrant workers. Also, a very spectacular banner on the Acropolis (!), inviting participation to tomorrows actions (protests against governmental policies and state brutality).

yesterday a music concern took place in propylaia. many bands and singers like Οι Απροσάρμοστοι, Κωνσταντίνος Βήτα, Φοίβος Δεληβοριάς, Γιώργος Δημητριάδης, Διάφανα Κρίνα, Δραμαμίνη, Στάθης Δρογώσης, Deus X Machina, The Earthbound, Χρήστος Θηβαίος, Αλκίνοος Ιωαννίδης, Βασιλική Καρακώστα, Άλκης Κωνσταντόπουλος, Locomondo, Lost Bοdies, Ματωμένα Πέπλα, Λαυρέντης Μαχαιρίτσας, Modrec, Οπισθοδρομική Κομπανία, Ζωρζ Πιλαλί, Δημήτρης Πουλικάκος, Σπυριδούλα, Ζακ Στεφάνου, Διονύσης Τσακνής, Μανώλης Φάμελος, Χαΐνηδες, Γιάννης Χαρούλης joined it. The concern started in 15.oo (greek time).
oups! i forgot to tell u that the concern was (of course!) about all these facts with the policemen. Lots of students was there from all over greece!
I think we should do something at 6 Dec about Alexakis. I don't know where to talk about it, to organise so I'm telling you.Plz respond if we'll do something...
